Senior Team: Our Senior team drew the last two home League games. Results were 1-1 against Dunlewy, the goal scored by Shane Brown. Last Sunday they played Dromoghill (0-0). The young playes gave a good account of themselves especially Conal Rooney, Davy Crawford, and James Walsh. Raymond Ford came on as sub in the second half and also had a good game. Next Sunday 12th March the team is away to Bonagee in the last game of the League and the club wish them well.

The senior teams winning run finally came to an end recently when they were beaten 3-0 by Clonmany Shamrocks in the quarter-final of the Ulster Junior Cup. And while the result was disappointing, Donegal can have no real complaints on the day, having put up a spirited first half performance, when they could have gone ahead early on with a couple of good chances. A lapse in concentration in the first minute of the second half cost them dear as Clomany went 1-0 up from a corner. When the referee gave a disputed penalty 10 minutes later, their fate seem sealed, as Clonmany had definitely upped their performance in the second half and reeling in a two goal lead seemed a very difficult prospect at that time.
Clomany increased their lead with 10 minutes to go as Donegal left themselves exposed at the back.
Its back to league action again this weekend with a trip to Lifford Celtic. A win here is important if Donegal are to consolidate their position in the top half of the table.
The Saturday team suffered a defeat away to St. Catherines recently where the teams inexperience probably worked against them at crucial points in the game, but this young team will no doubt learn from this game and with two games left in the league cup, we wish Marty and the lads all the best in these games. This team can take great credit for their performances over the season in this their first year back in the Saturday League.
This Saturdays fixture has yet to be confirmed but it looks like it is to Fintown Harps at home.
The club wishes to extend its deepest sympathies to the McIntyre and Hanafin families on their recent bereavements.
