Photo by Jason McGarrigle I would like to start by wishing you all a very happy & peaceful new year. On Saturday 11th December, the club had a very successful night of celebration for winning the First Division Championship in Doms Pier 1, Donegal Town. We would like to thank Finn Harps players, Tom Mohan, Kevin McHugh, Chris Breen and James Gallagher for attending. It was a great night, and fun was had by both young and old, getting their photos and autographs with the players and the cup. We would also like to thank the Abbey Hotel and Charlie Martin of the Star Bar who looked after us very well as we made our way around the town with the cup. Heres hoping we have something to celebrate this time next year as well! Andrew McElhinney Donegal Golf Club, Murvagh Words to the fore - again In the final full competion of 2004, Daire Woods produced another score in the sixties to see his handicap fast approach single figures (advice from his uncle has fallen on deaf ears). Its refreshing to see somebody trying to get the lowest score possible, without worrying about handicaps, teams or prizes. Copany Rovers
Copany Rovers held a very successful Christmas draw in the Dew Drop Inn on the 18th December. Great credit has to go to Karen Kerrigan who organised it. We would like to congratulate all the prize winners Mary Kilpatrick, €2,000; Seamus Hannafin, €1,000; Irene Timoney, €500; and the seven other prize winners who were all local. Thanks to ticket sellers, everyone who supported us and for the Dew Drop Inn for the use of their premises. The club would like to take this opportunity to wish all our footballers, sponsors, supporters, and all the other clubs, a happy 2005. Pictured is Karen Kerrigan (left) and Brian Kilpatrick (right) presenting the winners of the Christmas draw with their prizes. Mary Kilpatrick won €2,000 and Seamus Hannafin won €1,000. Not present was Irene Timoney who won €500. Photo: Jason McGarrigle
