Four Masters G.A.A. Club
Conor Reid turns to the audience for help! Four Masters G.A.A. Club hosted the popular show Want to be a Thousandaire? in Pier 1 on Friday night last. The show was a tremendous success with a huge crowd attending for a great nights entertainment. George McGrath from Pallas Marketing Services Ltd. was an excellent host and he was ably assisted by Tom Shanahan and Terence Coughlin. First on stage was local man Joe Lacey who was competing for charity, winning €125 which he donated to the Donegal Town Playgroup. Another eight contestants were picked during the show with Mark Dorrian the most successful, going away with €250 for his efforts. A draw during the interval saw Eleanor Hanna take away the first prize of a portable television. The club would like to thank everybody who purchased tickets, the business people who took an advertisement, Pier I for the venue, the local media for their help, Donegal Town Playgroup for helping to promote the show and finally Pallas Marketing Services Ltd. for a truly professional job on the night. The full list of winners is: Joe Lacey, Golf Course Road, Donegal Town - €125; Carmel Murrin, The Glebe, Donegal Town - €125; Patricia McGrane, Moneymore, Ballintra - €64; Ann Gillespie, Summerhill, Donegal Town - €125; Joseph Shovlin, Ardara - €125; Mark Dorrian, Drumconnor, Mountcharles - €250; Gareth Britton, Clogher, Donegal Town - €32; Damien Wilson, Killymard, Donegal Town - €125; Conor Reid, Rossylongan, Donegal Town - €32. Naomh Naile Bord na nOg 2002
County U13 Champions - Captain Christopher Burke holding Shield. Our teams had a busy year this year playing in over 90 matches from under 10 to minor, the highlights being our under 13 teams achivements and our Minor team reaching two county finals, the U10s unbeaten run, and the huge number of girls turning out for training. This takes a lot of effort by Managers, Mentors, Bord na nOg committee and parents and the cost is rising every year, the club would like to thank everyone who supported our young teams in any way (selling lotto, washing jerseys, making sandwiches). It all adds up, well done to all concerned. Michael into All-Ireland
