Flossie - New Information
Is Darkie innocent?

Charlie Doherty contacted Donegal Times to inform us that James and Mary Gorman, Laghey had been in touch with him to say they had seen the article about Flossie the Duck in the Times and they wanted to put the record straight. This is their version of events.

‘Mary and myself were sitting in the car on the pier when we saw Charlie Doherty going through the gate at the Marina. Charlie tried to prevent the dog entering also, but the dog was too quick and I saw him catch Flossie. Charlie took Flossie from the dog and put her back on the nest. Flossie jumped up on the gunwale of the boat and flew across to the other side of the bay and she was swimming in the water. She was then attacked by a dozen jealous drakes, who kept attacking her until they killed her.’
